Verde Kitchen & Cocktails has been specializing in creative Mexican food and margaritas since 2014. Our restaurant is home to what's known as "The Greenhouse" which is our fully private and glass-enclosed catering room with seating for up to 45 guests. Our beautiful, bright and airy space speaks for itself, and our food & beverage program pairs perfectly. Verde specializes in clean, creative and approachable Mexican food and craft margaritas using only premium and additive-free Tequilas and ingredients made in-house. We source our ingredients as locally as possible, supporting our local fisherman, farmers, suppliers and purveyors. Q: HOW LONG ARE EVENTS?
A: Our on-premise pricing is structured for 3 hour events. Off-premise events and weddings are normally quoted between 3-5 hours of event time. We are always happy to be as flexible as possible to make sure we can accommodate our guests needs. Additional time is normally priced based on the alcohol package selected and the time/date. We do not however, host any open bar events longer than 4.5 hours.
Q: AM I ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE MY MENU?
A: Of course! We enjoy helping guests build the perfect menu for their special day! Please keep in mind, we structure our catering packages a certain way for a reason; because that’s what works! Certain additions and/or substitutions may incur an additional cost. Please feel free to ask us!
Q: CAN WE BRING OUR OWN DESSERT?
A: Yes! We will display, cut & serve any dessert for no additional charge. We do offer our own homemade desserts, but we understand special occasions call for special desserts!
Q: CAN WE BRING DECORATIONS?
A: You may bring small decorations and center pieces for the table tops. We ask that there is no confetti or sparkles please. Balloons are permitted, if they are secured to a table or chair AND properly disposed of after the event.
Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN BAND, DJ OR ENTERTAINMENT?
A: For certain private events, there may be the option of bringing your own entertainment. When events are not-private and other parts of the restaurant are open to the public, we may not be able to host any outside entertainment. Please feel free to ask us.
Q: HOW EARLY CAN WE ARRIVE TO DECORATE AND SETUP FOR OUR EVENT?
A: In most cases, we can offer a 30-60 minute window before the start of your event. In certain situations, we have multiple parties booked before and/or after other events and we cannot guarantee any additional time for setup/ breakdown. All events are priced for 3 hours. If you require more time for your event or the setup & breakdown, please ask about the options
Q: CAN I USE ANY REMAINING BALANCE OF MY MINIMUM COMMITMENT AT COSTA VERDE
RESTAURANTS OR CAN I RECEIVE THE BALANCE IN GIFT CARDS?
A: Any allowances or surpluses must be spent within the time window of your event. We will help to build up your packages as needed, in order to get the most out of your event.
Q: IS TAX AND/OR GRATUITY INCLUDED IN THE PRICING?
A: NYS Sales Tax & gratuity are extra. Your total will be calculated as follows: Subtotal = Package(s) price X final guest count OR the minimum commitment amount (whichever is greater) Subtotal X 8.625% (NYS Sales Tax) Total balance X 22% admin fee = Finalized Total (minus deposit)
Q: IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO BOOK AN EVENT?
A: There is a $250 deposit required for on-premise events. For weddings and off-premise events; there is a 25% deposit on the anticipated subtotal
Q: ARE DEPOSITS REFUNDABLE?
A: Yes and no. We’ve never kept a deposit for an event we didn’t host, but please use common courtesy if you need to change your plans. If an event is cancelled without proper notice, we may reserve the right to refund any balance in store credit
Q: WHAT IS THE ADMIN FEE FOR?
A: The 22% admin fee is made up of 20% gratuity for our tipped employees who will be working your event. The additional 2% is goes to our catering manager(s) and/or the back of house employees who don’t normally work for tips. This is an added bonus for the people behind the scenes who work very hard to make your event the best it can possibly be

I absolutely love this place. It has amazing decor with great food to match. If you can a seat in the back in the greenhouse it is so lovely. The food here is amazing every time.
This place was AMAZING! The greenhouse is so beautiful and the food is delicious.
I wanted a unique venue that wasn’t an Italian restaurant, could do a brunch menu, and catered to vegan and vegetarian guests. Verde fit the bill - delicious Mexican food w tons of choices and yummy drinks. My shower was boho/greenery-themed, and their party room was lovely - a greenhouse w gorgeous brick walls, cute mismatched chairs, tons of light, and plants everywhere - exactly the aesthetic I was going for.
I had the most wonderful bridal shower last weekend at Verde Kitchen & Cocktails in Bay Shore. Everyone who attended was raving about the lovely greenhouse space, the delicious & bountiful food, and the outstanding service.

I did the brunch menu with the brunch cocktail package and added churros and donuts. Everyone loved the food, and kept saying how beautiful the room was. Everything was so plentiful and yummy. We hardly had to do anything to decorate because it was such a gorgeous room. Would highly recommend Verde for a fun, delicious, and different shower!
I cannot say enough good things about Verde Kitchen and Cocktails. I had my bridal shower there and it was absolutely perfect. The greenhouse space is so picturesque and intimate - the live plants add perfect decor and the space has such great bones that you don’t need to go overboard with decorations. The service was great, our waitresses were fantastic, and everyone was so happy with the food and drinks. The service leading up to the shower was amazing as well, with the venue being very amendable with all of our requests. I would have another event there in a heartbeat!
