The Wedding Industry

We all individually started “behind the chair” working on clients daily. Whether is be coloring, texturizing or giving a fabulous precision haircut. We have always done special events and weddings throughout our journey as artists and weddings just became our passion. It is a wonderful feeling to be a part of such a beautiful milestone in peoples lives. 

 

Specialization

We specialize in classic, romantic and bohemien looks. You shouldnt necessarily choose a style trend. Your hairstyle and makeup should stand the test of time. 

We love hollywood waves, especially old hollywood, which is more organic as opposed to severly structured. We love the old black and white movies of the 30's and 40's. If you look at any star from Lauren Bacall, Gene Tierney, Ava gardner, Rita Hayworth and even Marilyn Monroe, you will see a beauitful wave that is sexy, romantic and not too structured.

As for an "updo or downdo" a more structured look can be timeless as well. Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's hair and makeup is one of our favorite looks. 

 

 

Company History

Our team ranges from all ages and styles, that is what we love the best about Studio Novelle, our diversity. Most of our team have been with each other for over 10 years, we are a true glam squad that work closely together. Some of us are strictly in salon doing every day clients, from all color services to cutting and styling. Some just strictly doing bridal, and some do both. The talent is unlimited at Studio Novelle. We will always be doing what we love, and growing our team to meet all clients expectations. Ultimately what is best is what will make you feel beautiful.

FAQ:

Should I get a trial? Yes, it is important because something you are envisioning may not necessarily be right for you or you may change your mind during the consultation. By the way, a percentage of the hair trial cost will be applied to your wedding day package when you book with us! Preferably, the trial will be done closer to the wedding day so that your hair color, length, etc.. is similar. The same with your makeup; depending on the time of year (like summer) you may have more color to your skin.

Should I get hair extensions? Clip in hair extensions are great for certain styles to add length and volume.

What about lashes? Lashes are a great way to give your makeup that extra glamour. It pulls everything together. We encourage trying them but only if you are comfortable with the look.

How do I book with you? When you contact us, we will keep a bridal profile of all important details for your day. We want to make sure the appropriate number of stylists and makeup artists are available, therefore a deposit is required to secure your day and the stylists and makeup artists are then booked for your day.

What is important for you to know about me? We want to know your vision and how you want your day to feel. It is very helpful for us to see your wedding dress and any hair pieces and veil you will be wearing. Inspiration photos of hair and makeup are also helpful. Most of all, communication is paramount. We will give our honest expertise on what we think works with your hair type and facial strucure. It is also very important that you communicate during the trial and after about what you like and if there is anything you want to change or tweak. 

Most of all, lets have fun! it is one of the most important days of your life.

I LOVE Jennie, Josephine, Gabby and Desire! I went to Jennie and she truly captured my vision right away. Then I had to tell her we were changing our date she was so accommodating and held the new date for me no problem. As we came closer to the day, I actually asked her for another trial since a lot of time passed and I wanted to try something different. Again, she truly captured the vision 100% and when it came to the day of I was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY with how she even topped the trial and made my dreams come true! My hair stayed in the entire night all the way into the morning and even when I took it out the curls still lasted into the next day (and my hair does not curl well). We also had Gabby do hair for my girls since I had 13 people in need of getting their hair done. Gabby was truly wonderful to have and is very talented!!! Josephine was my make-up artist. I told her I wanted a natural look and she delivered. She is so talented and incredible that my make-up stayed on all day and night long all the way till the morning even in the heat. We also had Desire who helped with makeup because of my large group and she was so wonderful to have and did such a great job. Studio Novelle is INCREDIBLE to work with, beyond KIND, CARING, TALENTED and truly makes you feel your absolute best. They were so professional, on time and got us all done on time as well. They were so wonderful that two people in my bridal party are using them for their wedding.

Jennie and her team were fantastic for hair and makeup for my wedding! The makeup was the perfect balance of glamour and natural makeup so that I looked like the most beautiful version of myself. Jennie was wonderful styling my hair. She worked with me to create the perfect look that turned out just as I hoped. I was so pleased my hair and makeup lasted the entire night even through a windy beach ceremony! All my bridesmaids looked great as well with many versatile styles.
