We are a one event a day company so you will be getting our undivided attention from our #1 guys for your big day.

If you are looking for the utmost personalized DJ that oversees everything from start to finish, then Michael Riker Events is the right choice for you!

You will be working directly with the owner, Mike Riker, through the entire process, and he will be with you every step of the way. His goal is to understand your vision, listen to your ideas to map out the flow of the wedding, and then make your special day as fun and entertaining as you dream it to be.

Company History

Mike has been in the DJing business since 1995, starting off as a roadie/DJ where he learned and absorbed what it takes to entertain people and have a successful event.  

In 2004 he began working with event planners in the tri-state area, where he started doing solo jobs for their high-end events. And by 2005, he created Michael Riker Events where he has been rocking parties all over the tri-state area with some amazing destination events sprinkled in there.

We try to bring a different vibe to each and every event. MRE offers MC’s, saxophonist, and percussionist upon request and more...

You can’t decide between a DJ or a band and want both? MRE works very well with bands/musicians, where the goal is to give that live band feel with a DJ pretty much steering the ship and collaborate to work off of each other.

Mike and his MC Mike were absolutely amazing. Exceeded my expectations. He spent a lot of time communicating with me behind the scenes via phone calls.
The dance floor was never empty the entire night. They even went above and beyond to help curate a beautiful entrance video when no other vendor was able to help. Michael Riker Events was absolutely amazing for our wedding. From the start, he was incredibly organized. We met with him personally to discuss every detail we wanted for the day. We created a Spotify playlist, including a “do not play” list and a must-play list, which he used to get an idea of the type of music we wanted played to craft his set list. Everyone was up and dancing the entire time, no one ever sat down. The MC (also Mike) was perfect. Kept everyone engaged the whole night. Great personality. He played some games with guests to get all the tables up and having fun. Mike also managed our photo booth, which was a huge relief. Since our wedding had a New York Rangers theme (we got engaged on the ice at MSG), he ensured the photo booth included Rangers props, to make it more personal.

We booked Mike for our wedding and he was nothing less than amazing! He made sure to follow up multiple times and have an in person and phone conference with us before the big day. Mike Riker was the DJ and the MC I had was Mikey Bam and the combo was phenomenal. I also used the percussion drummer that works with the company which added live music and added so much fun and the guests loved it.
