Now let's get to the FUN STUFF... the planning! More importantly, the invitations :D 

Personally and Professionally, I am an extremely personable, creative, and confident
Graphic Designer. I have been working in the Creative Services and Design industry for 18 years. Creating invitations and custom stationery for 15! I am well-versed in design and layout with a strong sense of typography, composition and color.

Jessica Leigh Paperie is a boutique invitation design studio. JLP offers elevated design services. Creating high-end wedding and event invitations, and day of event details, of all types, and for ALL occasions.

Everything I/JLP creates is one-of-a-kind, likely hand-crafted in some fashion, and always made with love. If you’re looking for something timeless, personal, and memorable, I can guarantee I can design it for you!

Jessica Leigh Paperie was born in 2009, out of my love for CREATION and CELEBRATION! Life is so special, life should be celebrated, and your marriage and unity might just be the biggest celebration of them all! 

Just like LOVE, the Wedding Industry NEVER FAILS! That sticks with me. It's been the most consitant and extremely faithful industries I've ever been lucky enough to work in. I still work with my wedding clients to this very day. Some whom got married as far back as my first year in business!

As I circle back in my brain about memories from years past, I can't help but reflect on one special story from a client in 2013, that I STILL to this present day in 2024, reflect on and share. The couple's name alone is memorable in it's own right (The Sweets!). The groom shared with me that his loving and proud grandmother adored their wedding invitation so very much, exclaiming it was the most beautiful she had every seen, that she proudly displayed it on her coffee table for all to see. Not just on the refridgerator, or a board on the wall, but on a table in the middle of her house. I was so touched by this! To have a complete stranger hold something I created by hand so near and dear to her heart, proudly showing others, affected me deeply. Not just because it was her grandson, but because it was so unique and special. I'll never ever forget it. I'll chat about it fondly forever.

I specialize in higher-end letterpress and foil stamped Wedding Invitations. I design and create so many styles of invitations, but Wedding Invitations, typically with fine Letterpress and/or Foil Stamping would be my specialty! 

Back in 2008, my Grandmother (may she rest so peacefully) was celebrating her 75th birthday. She was quite sick at this time, and unfortunately, she passed the following year. 75 was the last birthday we shared together in physical presence. My family and I threw her a very lavish dinner party. Which little did I know, would take me to a career, to a new chapter of my life, I never knew I'd venture to. 

I designed and made by hand, 25 of the most beautiful invitations for her dinner party. If you've ever stopped in my Bay Shore space, you'll see the suite proudly displayed in a shadow box. That following year, a friend who I had showed the invitation to, mentioned her friend was getting married and was looking for super unique handmade invitations. She linked us together, and that bride (you know who you are!!!) wrote me a monumental review on, you guessed it..... BOLI!!! From there, I got referral after referral, and JLP was official incorporated in 2010! 

This paragraph doesn't do the journey any justice. Doesn't showcase the blood, sweat, and many many tears (HAPPY and SAD) shed to get where I am today, but just typing all of this reminds me why I design invitations, why I took the leap and started JLP, and pushed me forward looking at the FUTURE. It's been a wild 14 years, but I cannot wait to see where the next 14 years takes me and Jessica Leigh Paperie. 

"Can you help me word the invitation?" and "Do you also print the addresses on the envelopes?" are the two most asked questions!!! The answers are always ... YES and YES!

We have comprehensive PDF with various wording options. Based on family dynamics, who is hosting the event, location/type of ceremony, deceased family member situations, etc! We always help our clients achieve the exact wording they need for their special event stationery.

We always print guest recipient addresses for our booked clients! We even sometimes JUST do the printing on the envelopes if a client needs. We've done it before! Whether it's an engagement party invitation, save the date, or the main invitiation, address printing is always included. Even our smaller jobs like children's birthday events... we still print addresses! Premium black ink is always included. We offer a variety of upgrade options as well. 

My current personal hobbies are named Giovanna (age 5), Vincent (age 4), and Olive (my pup — age 12)!!!! Our children are our entire world presently! My husband and I are blessed to have two (and one furry), beautiful little children!!! They keep us busy in every other waking moment outside of work, and the veryyyy occasional date night ;-)
