Born out of innovation and necessity in May of 2020 when COVID-19 seemed to bring our way of life to a halt, Drive Up DJ’s was created to help bring a little normalcy back to people wanting to gather and celebrate. When Ivan Galarza, owner and founder, found himself laid off from his job in finance due to the Pandemic, he decided to turn his part time hobby as a DJ into a full time career at a time when most DJ entertainment companies were struggling to find a way to survive. Although most people doubted his decision, he thought of how to still be able to bring the party to the people in a safe way. He had an idea to build a mobile stage built on a trailer that could be taken anywhere. Being generator powered, his mobile stage could play music while driving down the road or parked in front of someone’s driveway. With this, he started offering his services to lead birthday car parades in neighborhoods and park in front of driveways to perform socially distant dance parties. Once word got around about his new and unique service, business exploded through Fall of 2020. As 2021 started and restrictions loosened, he started performing at an increasing amount of outside events including backyard weddings, neighborhood block parties, and any event where people gathered and still wanted to be safe. Four years and thousands of events later, Drive Up DJs has grown to a staff of over six full time DJs who still hold the original principles at every party they perform at; providing incredible entertainment, unmatched presentation, and consistently going above and beyond for their customers, truly living up to their motto, great events don’t just happen by accident.
