Introduction

Hi I'm Andrew Gabriel and I want to play music for your wedding!

Ever since I can remember I have been in love with music and have had a desire to perform in front of people. From my start on trumpet in elementary school to studying guitar in college music has been the one constant. Over the past 15 years I turned this love of music into a business; playing special events and weddings. 

Over the recent years there has been a lot of positive change in my life including getting married and having two children. Being surrounded by so much love has helped me understand even more the importance of your wedding day and only increased my desire to make it extra special for others.

The Wedding Industry

Before I played guitar as my main instrument, I was a piano student. My start performing professionally was as a teenager playing the occasional wedding with my keyboard! After focusing on guitar and singing I played out as much as possible at restaurants and bars to sharpen my craft. With a new confidence I started advertising myself as a performer for weddings and I haven't looked back since.

I love playing weddings because there is nothing like the thrill of playing for one of the most important days in someone's life. It's truly special to collaborate with a couple on their favorite songs and making them into our own version tailored for their moment.

The Wedding Memories

One of my favorite memories is traveling to Vermont to play a post wedding bonfire! It was a perfect night fulfilling some requests by the fire under the stars. Also, this was a great excuse to take my first visit to Vermont with my wife and dog which I will always remember. 

 

Specialization

One of the things I specialize in is adapting your favorite song into my style. No matter the request I can play it as an instrumental on guitar for your ceremony or as a ballad for your first dance.

Also, while playing your reception I can create the perfect background ambience. I'm not trying to play over your guests, just at the perfect level where they can still talk and listen if they want to.

A lot of my bookings come through referrals and couples who have seen my performances at other weddings and events. I am easy to work with, and I will meet face-to-face, talk on the phone, or text with you to work out every detail of my part of your wedding. 

How Do I Know What Songs You Might Play?

The songbook also includes suggestions for different parts of your wedding day like your ceremony, first dance or parent dances.

I Don’t See The Song I Want, Can you Learn It?

Yes! Almost all of my events require me to learn at least one song that is special to a couple. I’m happy to accommodate this to make your day perfect.

My Venue Is Asking About Insurance, Can You Provide That?

Yes! I have full liability insurance and I can provide a Certificate Of Insurance with the name of your venue and date upon request.

Personal Hobbies

My personal hobbies include playing and collecting guitars (no surprise there), film photography, looking at vintage cars I can't afford, occasional video games, Mets baseball, movies & cinema and reading.

Andrew played the music for our wedding ceremony (both entrance and exit as well as a song during the ceremony). It was PERFECT! We did not use conventional pieces, so he learned our music - and we couldn’t have been happier. We got compliments from all of our guests, and our band (who was setting up nearby) asked about Andrew because they were so impressed. He’s personable and easy to work with. You won’t regret it.
