It all started on a mountain top in 2012 when Patrick asked me to be his girlfriend.
We met through a mutual friend in college. Since we both went to colleges in the Hudson Valley, he naturally asked me to be his girlfriend on top of a mountain with all the fall foliage surrounding us in its beauty. Fast forward four years later when we decided to spend our anniversary weekend at Mohonk Mountain House, right by that very mountain top. So we went for a hike pretty early on a Sunday morning. When we arrived on a mountain top overlooking the beautiful fall foliage in the Hudson Valley, with views only as comparable to where we had first started our relationship, he surprised me and got down on one knee, proposing to me in the most fitting way possible to us. He then further surprised me by pointing up to a photographer he had hired to capture the moment for us forever. I could not have imagined a more perfect proposal for us, and to think it all started on a mountain top not too far away.
