Your pictures will carry the memory of your wedding for years to come, and Pine Hollow Club provides the perfect backdrop for incredible photos. “The grounds are beautiful, so it’s great for pictures,” says Heidi Stanya, Director of Member Experience. “Whether you want golf course pictures, pictures by the pool, by the courts, in the wooded areas — there are a lot of different locations.”
Joe Scalice, Pine Hollow Club’s Director of Operations, agreed. “There are so many photo opportunities,” he said. “There are a lot of areas for potential outdoor cocktail hours and ceremonies, and with some beautiful indoor spaces as well. This was the Vanderbilts’ North Shore estate, so we have this incredible historic mansion with elegantly appointed rooms. And, of course, a staircase that is absolutely stunning.”

Pine Hollow Club’s one-event-at-a-time policy means your wedding will be the center of attention. “There is a lot of opportunity to make the space your own, or enjoy it as it is,” Joe detailed. “What’s great about the property is, although many of the spaces have such a beautiful ‘Old World’ feel with some ‘New World’ furnishings and appointments to the structure, a lot of the ballroom and cocktail hour spaces can be creatively redesigned. I’ve seen our dining room which has this classic beauty transformed into something completely different and otherworldly.”
Joe’s advice for brides-to-be is to have an idea of what your ideal day looks like. “When you first come in, let’s talk in broad strokes of how you want your wedding to feel. Don’t get caught up in tiny details because that can skew the decision making process. Do we have the menu you want? The grounds you want? Because from there, we can take the space and transform it into what you envision. That’s the beauty of being the only event at a particular time — you’re not sharing the space with another party, so we can dedicate the spaces to you and your vision.”
